Come Meet our Candidates!
As the 2025 election season heats up, the Bethel Democratic Town Committee is inviting residents to a vibrant, in-person Meet & Greet with its full slate of endorsed candidates. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Shakedown Street Eats, 227 Greenwood Avenue, right in the heart of downtown Bethel.
This free event is a chance for neighbors to connect, share ideas, and get to know the individuals who are stepping up to lead Bethel into the future. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Democratic candidates for local office, hear their vision for the community, and ask questions about the issues that matter most, from education and infrastructure to fiscal responsibility and inclusive governance.
Appetizers will be served, and a full cash bar will be available. And in a casual environment to spark real conversations, new connections, and a strong sense of community pride.
“Our candidates aren’t just names on a ballot, they’re parents, volunteers, educators, professionals, and longtime residents who care deeply about this town,” said Matt Knickerbocker, Chair of the Bethel Democratic Town Committee. “This event is about listening, engaging, and building the kind of Bethel we all want to be part of.”
With local elections having a direct impact on everyday schools, safety, taxes, and quality of services, this event offers a meaningful opportunity for residents to get informed, get involved and have their voices heard.
All Bethel residents are encouraged to attend. Whether you’re a longtime voter or new to town, this is your chance to meet the future of Bethel face to face.
