Why are you running?
I have been in some form of public service nearly all of my adult life. I started out as a camp counselor, then I worked for the CT Department of Environmental Protection and have been a librarian for the past 15 years. In all of that time I have worked to help people, be it to learn about history, find their next book to read or help research a topic. I have served on boards and commissions for non-profits and the town, all of these years of service culminate in my running for First Selectman. I look forward to serving the town of Bethel in it’s highest office and giving back to this community that has given me so much over the years.
I believe Bethel is the best community in Connecticut and I want to help keep it that way.
Biography
I moved to Bethel in 1997 from the far away town of Redding. As many people from Redding we would often come to Bethel for ice cream, groceries and other shopping. I graduated from Bethel High School in 2002 and aside from going to college in Massachusetts I have primarily resided in bethel the past 27 years. I bought my home in 2011 and now have two wonderful children in the Bethel School system.
I have worked at the Bethel Public Library since 2019, before that I worked at Woodbury Library since 2015 and I was at Danbury Library from 2007 to 2013.
