- I want to ensure that the increase in residential development in Bethel does not negatively impact the natural landscape of Bethel that is hallmark to its quintessential New England Charm.
- It is important to me that as our small town grows we regulate activities that impact our ecological system as well as enforce environmental protection laws so that we do not contribute to the larger global warming issues that our future generations will face.
- I want to work collaboratively with a team to protect our inland/wetland areas while developing our town in the least impactful way possible.
Why are you running?
I recently joined the Bethel Democratic Town Committee because I felt called to be a part of the change that I wish to see from town governments to the national arena. As a member of the Inland Wetland Commission I plan to join my local government and collaborate on change that is best for our town. Simply put, if we want to see change we need to be a part of the change.
I am dedicated to Bethel as a town, not just the schools. I want to be a part of the change that I want to see for the future of my children and all children in Bethel.
Biography
I have worked for the Bethel Public Schools as a Special Education teacher since 2019 and more recently as the middle school Coordinator of Special Education. My wife began working in the schools as well and we began to notice a lack of connection for us and our kids to the town we were living in previously. In 2023, we decided to move to Bethel because we knew that the school would be great for our kids and that the town believed in inclusion, diversity, and opportunities for all the youth who are growing up in this town. Since we moved, we have not looked back! We feel this will be our hometown for long into the future.
