Zoning Board of Appeals (Alternate)
Kelly Paredes believes the future of our community depends on local residents getting involved in public service. She is eager to bring her enthusiasm, work and life experience, and dedication to Bethel to the job of serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Kelly believes in balancing the public good with individual rights and interests, and her background in social work and education has prepared her to work towards this balance.
Currently, she works at the Bethel Public Schools as a Job Coach. She was also a Program Manager for Ben’s Lighthouse in Newtown, and a Middle School and High School counselor in Maryland and New Jersey.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Family & Community Services from the University of Delaware, and a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
Living in Bethel with her family since 2014, Kelly has served in leadership roles with the Rockwell PTO and the Bethel chapter of Moms Club. She has children in the Rockwell and Johnson Schools, and enjoys hiking, fishing, and visiting the shops and restaurants in Downtown Bethel.
