- Assure Bethel offers high quality education to all children
- Serve on curriculum committee if possible
- My expertise is in literacy, language arts, and children’s and young adult literature, so help with those areas however I can
Why are you running?
I’ve learned how Republicans a decade or more ago got themselves on local committees and boards and want to help out my political party in the same way. I am, of course, concerned about the Trump administration and want to do whatever I can to help out
Biography
I have lived in Bethel for 38 years, raised my children here, love the town, and have no intention of leaving, I was a Professor of Education at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. I semi-retired in 2020 but still adjunct at the Mount, specializing in literacy, language arts, children’s and young adult literature, and teaching a course, Genocide in Literature and Art. I have co-written a middle grade biography on Katalin Kariko, who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2023 for her work on mRNA, that gave us the vaccine during COVID. I have also written a memoir.
